In 1994, our founders, wanted to change the way field services for consultants and engineers was performed. Driven by bold vision and a strong entrepreneurial spirit, they were committed to finding permanent solutions for any environmental problem. Thus, Environmental Field Services was created.

EFS works to transform environmental consultants’ and engineers’ plans into reality.

We implement our clients’ designs in all phases of environmental field work, including environmental drilling, remedial construction, injections, operations & maintenance, and other field related services.

Today, EFS is a nationally recognized environmental contracting firm with three offices. We specialize in drilling, probing, remedial construction, and field services to a wide range of clients, including 50 of the ENR’s Top 200 Environmental Firms. With our continued commitment to our employees and clients, our company has stayed true to the mission statement that was created over 25 years ago, “provide superior service to clients and an unwavering commitment to employees.”

Brian Delaney serves as the Technical Business Development Representative and has managed hundreds of projects in the past 20 years relating to remediation, demolition, industrial cleaning, industrial hygiene/asbestos, hazardous waste management, due diligence for property transfer, and other projects. In this capacity, he is responsible for all things pertaining to midwest remediation.

Eric Likens is the Operations Manager for EFS and has over 24 years of experience in the environmental remediation field. In this capacity, he is responsible for managing all technical, administrative, and operational activities related to remediation and operation & maintenance projects and personnel. Eric maintains both a UST decommissioning license as well as a Class C Wrecking (demolition) license.

Jim Wegener is a Field Operations Manager for EFS and has over 10 years of experience in the environmental consulting and construction industry including direct experience in the investigation, remediation, and management of leaking underground storage tank (LUST), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA)/Superfund sites.

Additional experience includes development of sampling and remediation programs to determine the nature and extent of contamination (including RCRA Remedial Facility Investigation and Facility Investigation Work Plans), design and construction of remedial systems, development of remediation work plans (including RCRA Corrective Measure Studies and Feasibility Studies), and regulatory negotiation.

Joel Ruselink

Joel Ruselink – Principal of Construction Services
Joel Ruselink serves as Principal of Construction Services at EFS. In this role, he is responsible for all 5 of EFS’ service areas; Remedial Construction, Drilling, Operations and Maintenance, Field Operations, and Project Implementation. Mr. Ruselink has more than 20 years of experience in the investigation and management of contaminated media, including leaking underground tank (LUST) management, surface water, groundwater, soil, sediment, hazardous waste, non-hazardous waste and air. He has extensive experience in the remediation of soil and groundwater at LUST, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) sites utilizing in-situ and ex-situ techniques.

Joe Tillman is a drilling manager for EFS and is a Certified Well Driller (CWD) with over 16 years of experience providing environmental/ geotechnical drilling services. He is responsible for operating drilling equipment and providing client support to the South from our Alabama office. He has served as lead driller and supervisor at many Government facilities such as Fort Drum, Redstone Arsenal, Columbus Air force Base, Anniston Army Depot and Maxwell Air force Base.
