The scope of services provided by EFS included:

  • Preparing a site specific Health and Safety Plan to be used during this project
  • Cleaning four pits each containing approximately 18-inches of sludge using a drum-vac, confined space entry with hand tools and pressure washing
  • Containerizing the sludge into 55-gallon drums and removing rinsate water with a vacuum truck for disposal as non-hazardous waste at an approved off-site disposal facility
  • Pressure washing the ceiling, walls and floors of the upper three levels and two stair wells using water from the facility. Rinsate will be allowed to drain through the floor drains and discharge into a poly tank.

ESF performed all work activities with EFS HAZWOPER-trained personnel in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and local regulations. The project was performed on schedule and with no safety incidents.
